Abstract

This article seeks to make a punctual, current, and demanding reflection for the educators in the XXI century, since it allows to understand the educational policies emanating from the documents governing and guiding the teaching-learning process. This is a comparative study between the Constitution of Angola and the recent Basic Law of the Education and Teaching System of Angola, Law 17/16 of 7th October, making a critical-analytical analysis on the points contained there since his ideal to the Angolan educational praxis. Comparative, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and documentary analysis methods were used for its scope, whose results reveal that there is a certain distance between the ideal embodied in the governing documents and what is materialized in the educational practice.
