The mass movements are characterized by being natural processes of evolution of the slopes and, therefore, of the landscape as a whole. According to the speed and composition of the displaced material downstream, it receives different denominations. These are processes triggered by a series of natural factors, but can be potentiated by anthropic action. In Angola, mass movements of large magnitude, when they occur in occupied areas, gain context of natural disasters, since they cause considerable socioeconomic damage, and sometimes with fatalities. Studies of these phenomena in the country increased from the mid-twentieth century, after records of catastrophic events. In recent years, those occurred in Serra da Leba (2011), in the city of Lobito (2015), have had great proportions. The latter left a trail of destruction and significant damage to the local population. In this context, this case study, based on specific reference consultation, cartographic material and, above all, field analyzes, aimed to understand and classify the event that occurred in Candjonde Village on 19 March 2016, more precisely in the relief compartment. Serra do Moco or Morro do Moco, as appropriate, as well as to demonstrate aspects of the changes caused by the phenomenon in question.
