Abstract

Cinema has been reflecting the way society has organized itself, is closely related to social and cultural aspects, and has become one of the main contemporary phenomena. The society in which we live is constantly changing and consequently different values, interests and lifestyles emerge. The realization of a desire to rescue the Huambo Railroad cinema is an act of merit to highlight, in a territory with the characteristics that presents the Huambo Municipality. a sporting space of this city. In Angola, the cinema is present throughout the country and Huambo Province has several cinema facilities that reveals the culture and identity of the city, but for various reasons such as the war factor and the lack of maintenance were deteriorating, thus needing a conservation and restoration. After observing the pathologies in the cinema of the Huambo Railway Sports Club in the diagnostic phase, the idea of its rehabilitation and its surrounding areas emerges, associating the existing spaces and creating a new perspective of laser spaces in the city of Huambo. This research work is intended for a pathological study of the Huambo Railway cinema and this is its main objective and subsequent implementation of an architectural project.
